The virtual learning platform of D-MANeD project is built!

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our planning for the design, development and delivery of our courses. While the initial plan was to offer only on site (face-to-face) training courses, we were obliged to convert our programs to online ones, since travelling is not yet possible. The project partners wanted to see this challenge as an opportunity to invite more teachers in this online environment from the partner countries (and outside those countries).

We used Moodle platform for the delivery of our programs, because it is user friendly and doesn't require strong internet connection or fast devices to attend these programs. Most of our teachers come from disadvantaged areas and our first priority was to be inclusive and welcome as many participants as possible.

The first course we decided to offer was the course on e-learning (Spring 2021). This decision was made because this is the most adequate for online delivery comparing to the rest of the topics (NLP, Movement, Arts, etc.). The project partners are following the development of the pandemic and will adjust the training course offering according to the public health and travel guidance of the partner countries. The goal of the project consortium is to wait and offer at least the most practical topics (Arts, Movement) on site, to ensure that the participate have a productive and entertaining learning experience.

Even if we offer our courses on site (face-to-face), it was decided to create an online space for these courses in Moodle, so the participants have ongoing access to the resources and for new users to be able to attend these courses at their own pace. Access to the learning platform will be possible even after the end of the project.
